A: sell my 128 RAM stick to BonneMeMn when i get my 512 and run the 512 by itself or...

B: run both of em and get....*computes in head* 640.....


im kinda dumb in this area

i have Windows XP and i was thinking of seliing it for either 15 or 20. havent narrowed it down yet and havent discussed it with him.

i could put 2 512'* in it. thats all it will hold. but i cant afford 2. that would be bout 160-70 bucks. and i dont have the cashola. im suposed to get 100 bucks for Christmas and that will cover one. actually im hopin ill talk the 'rents into havin that money before Christmas so ill have the computer upgraded before the FFA lock-in.

Just make sure that your expansion slot doesn't "require" any further expansions to be the same size as what you've got. Some boards and types of RAM require that.

I've heard that you don't want to mix and match anyway, but always go with the same size RAM across two slots, if you can. It works okay if you don't, but works faster and more efficient if you do.

yeah ive heard that to. ive heard people tell me that the lone 512 would actually be faster than the 640. but they probly didnt know what they were talkin bout. or maybe they did. i just thought id check with the computer specialists here.
