The 3800 will end production soon if GM wants to stay competitive with competition. People want smooth and refined sohc and dohc designs. Its not about who can spin tires anymore!
I say bring back the Shortstar!! its a good engine, they could just tweak it to get some more power out of there, put more up to date technology on there and youve got a winner right off the bat.
Its a great engine with very very few actual engine failures (at least from what ive gathered) so why not bring it back?
I can see it now....some GTP or SS version of a small car with a TCed 3.5....a SC would be too old school dontcha know
