i have a used EVGA Nvidia 6800 GT I am considering selling if he would like to make an offer. Its like 2 yrs old, but still a very competitive card

He can get by on much less than $400 then. Depending, of course, on what you mean by "minor gaming". NVidia is good, as is ATI. Since they make the chips that go on just about every brand out there, start with their sites...
