Today I called Dr. Asfora office to get my meds refilled and also set up an appt to see him.
It was the usual phone call where I leave a voice message to his assistant named Jean and she calls me back. I was napping when she called back. She asked me what my dosage had been on the steroids again and I answered but I must have said wrong as she wanted me to go look at my med bottle. I told her I had been sleeping so might be a bit foggy. She told me to go get the med bottle and she would wait. She said she understood it was hard for me to get up. So I put the phone down, rolled over in bed and went to far. I went down on my knees on the floor. I knew I was in trouble then as I can't get up by myself in that position. So I reach for the phone and it is dead as it low battery. The charger cord was in the computer room. It took me forever to crawl to the computer room. I got plugged in and she called back to see if I was ok. I was ok but on the floor. I said I need to discuss what to do next as I am at my the end of my rope. She said she knows this is very hard but really nothing I can do but the steroids for another month. She said Dr. Asfora doesn't think surgery is the answer. She encouraged me to hang in there. I have an appt for 22nd.
I then laid on the floor for 1 1/2 hours in the computer room waiting for Lee to come home to get me up. I cried in frustration for a bit but was ok after that as I had blanket close up that I grabbed and took a nap on the floor.
