nice, but just a pointer.
if you want the picture to just float
and stay centered
use this code.
background-positionenter center;
background-repeat:no-repeat;
background-attachment:fixed;}

I have mine for a good reason. I've gotten back into touch with nearly all my childhood friends. I went through a weird moving time right around the same time most kids get cell phones and such (this day and age), but at that time, we didn't, we were totally reliant on real life communication, no phones, no computers (hell, we all had computers...but the internet? yeah right) and so right when i moved, we basically lost touch. We're back in touch like the separation never happened. ALSO, one of my friends from grade school (same class from K+) who was an OK friend then, has become my absolute best friend, without myspace, her and i probably never would have spoken again. And one more little side thing...I've also met a load of people from my local area(*) and never would have known of them otherwise. Some of my current, greatest friends (yes, now in real life) were started online. I owe this all to myspace. I'll take it and keep it thanks.
And hey, try this on for size. If you're skeptical about myspace? Look at this club. How many friends have you made on here that you would have NEVER crossed paths with otherwise....friends that you wouldn't give up for the world...yeah, lets all hate online social networking..all it does it ruin...RIGHT. SURE. Ok.
I have no idea why I went off on that tangent. Jake...google is your friend. There are a load of places out there to help you build the ultimate myspace page.

But if you want a life, and to meet new people, there'* actually a real world out there full of social interactions, and far fewer of them hide behind a digital curtain they use to mask their ill intent and lies.
Go to the bar. It'* healthier. And the people there are REAL.

MySpace was cool when i first go onto it, just about all my friends were on it, its an awesome way to keep in touch once everyone breaks off for college or something, but then it became such a ridiculous thing to deal with, random friend requests and spam and the bulletins.
I moved to Facebook, which is more sophisticated I think, though its got a ton of ridiculous applications but you can choose not to have them.
I rarely get on myspace anymore, maybe once a month or so just to see

Facebook > MySpace. I think it'* funny how MySpace is copying all Facebook'* features now. MySpace has way more members than Facebook, but I think most who use both like FB a lot more...at least those I know personally. I hate logging into MS sometimes. It'* slow as hell no matter what, and there'* way too much spam and issues with it all the time.

myspace has two sides which have been alluded to on here.
side one: its a way for thousands of people who should never have websites or bee seen, to be seen and to have websites. most of these people are too stupid to understand basic HTML rules or too lazy to learn basic HTML rules and as a consequence, end up with websites which assault the eyes. these are also the same people who live for drama and try to drag everyone else through the mud they enjoy rolling in (it keeps them cool). myspace is a haven for these people.
side two: its a great way to communicate with past friends, simply because there are thousands of people who utilize this website. it is a tool, no more and no less. its purpose is to keep you connected with old friends, not to incite drama.
and facebook > myspace with the addendum that its easier to find people on myspace, in my experience. its also harder to spam on facebook. (personally, i feel that facebook should go back to requiring you to be in a college/university to join -- its not myspace).
