Black trim goop
Whereabouts would be the easiest place to find some black trim goop? Someone might be able to further describe it....its the stuff used at the factory to attach some rubber trim and sealing pieces...i've seen it VERY widely used at chrysler. not sure if thats good or bad.
anyways...it never seems to dry, but is very sticky.
my thing is, my tailgate rubber seal that sits over the crimped steel...well..it doesn't seem to have any on it..and doesn't stick in place..just kinda hangs there.
maybe someone know of a good substitute?
on a side note, i dont really want to use glue, in case i have to remove it again for some reason.

Sounds like you need weatherstrip trim adhesive. It comes in a metal squeeze tube and its black and rubbery when it drys. It costs about $10 at most auto parts stores.
Great stuff, but it dries really fast. I used it when I got new weatherstripping for my doors.
