No self-pumping in Oregon. It'* been that way forever. The only receipt I have is for my payment. Card was swiped on a seperate machine, not the pump. And it was a cheap (but convenient) station.
Thadd had a .45 in the car, but it was zipped into the bottom of a duffel bag in the back seat, and the clip and ammo were in the trunk (as required by law).
I've got a couple smoked plugs in my 'display case' at home already. I expect I'll be adding a couple more to it.
Driving the SLE for now. It'* good to be driving the green car again.

LOL.... I always watch the guy as he goes to pump gas in my car. More than once after I clearly say preimum. I see them reach for the 87 button. Sorry about your night bill but I would like to see pics of the fried plugs.

It'* not the first time this has happened to you. My experience was that the law was bad because the people hired to pump gas don't understand what Super Unleaded means.
Unknowing I attempted to pump my own gas in Oregon and the guy went nuts. He got a return on that when he tried to put cheap crap into my car.

I wonder what would happen if you told them to put 10 gals in, then grab your gas can containing 100 and attempt to top off

mostly it takes away the possibility of someone carelessly starting a fire by getting back in their car and then getting back out again. somewhat of a common occurance and all it takes is to ground out that static in the vapors of the filler neck and you've got yourself a fire. to the best of my knowledge people residing in new jersey and oregon also have slightly lower insurance rates because of this AND it ALSO gives people additional jobs that would otherwise not exist. it really has no real cons from what i can see. until they just don't listen when you tell them to put premium in it.
