just got done redoing the fuel filter lines because the old ones tore up when i replaced the filter yesterday... just noticed the puddle of fuel today... that went good
then i dropped the entire exhaust system to figure out the rattle... seems it was the donut gasket was half there, and the springs werent tight/wore out... so i replaced them
check out this manifold... anyone know why it would have that porthole looking thing on the top? it seems like it would just be a big exhaust leak to me? and whats up with the inside of the manifold?

That porthole was part of the air injection system when the 2.5 was a carbed 2.2 (they share the same exhaust manifold). The split on the inside was supposedly to help smoothe out exhaust raspiness. There were performance headers from Mopar Performance and Forward Motion that were meant for the Omni/Horizon and Charger platforms for autocross and SCCA racing...check ebay for those gems if you are going to keep the 2.5 weezer injection.

Nah, you don't need to reconnect it...ANY 4 cylinder that Chrysler put out that was fuel injected was based on motors that were carbed. Carbed motors had the air injection setup but injected motors didn't need it. We all know Chrysler went way cheap in the 80'* and early 90'* to dig themselves out of the hole, so they just kept using what they had.
