My mom was involved in a very bad accident last wendsday. A 2002 Chevy 1500 z71 hydroplaned over the center lane and smashed into my moms 1999 oldsmobile intrigue head on. The truck was doing 55-60 mph and my mom was doing 55 mph it was at the last second so no one had time to react. She is in bad shape right now but the good thing is that she lived through this. She has a broken wrist broken arm a very badly smashed up ankle (sp?) a cut into her knee that went down into the joint many broken ribs on both sides a fracture to her skull but no brain damage or bleeding (thank god) and her hip is broke and the ball that goes into the hip broke through the back of the hip along with other brusies and cuts and scrapes. She was rushed to a hospital by flight for life it was on the news also it took them over 45 mins to get her out of the car with the jaws of life. The guy in the truck was sent to the hospital but they said he coulda just walked away pretty much. The guy in the truck had bald tires so thats why he hydroplaned. Me and the rest of my family are still pretty upset about all this and seeing my mom in the shape she is in and aall the things she went through and all the things shes going to go through. The doctors say she will have arthritis bad in her ankle cause of the condition. She still has more surgury to go so pray for the best for her.

Damn, that looks as bad as it sounds, so sorry to hear about your mother but very happy for you and yours that she made it through and sounds like she, for the most part, is expected to make a good recovery. My thoughts will be on her return to good health as well as the well being of your family in general....
