napster protected music
Does anyone know how long it takes a protected song to "expire"? I have a lot of music that i downloaded from napster that i use to DJ with and it seems that all the licenses have expired, or at least i hope that is all... I try to play them with PCDJ and they won't work. I hope i can just log into napster and it will correct itself, but i can't confirm that untill i get home from work. can anyone else ease my nerves a little here?

Dunno man, I don't use Napster. I use to a few years ago when downloading muzic was the latest craze. Then all the lawsuits started happening. So I stopped until recently. I use Limewire. (Feds, my IP is untraceable) lol

ah, old skool napster... 
no, now its a pay site and legal. the files can only be played on WMA capable programs and once you stop paying your subscription to napster the songs will become useless to you. so i have no worrys about the feds... thanks...
just found it odd they expired so fast. i've got a couple thousand songs too, not cool.

Noones IP is truely untraceable. Hard for the average Joe to trace, yes. Totally untraceable, especially to law enforcement, think again.

i know of a few programs that can be used to re-record the songs. it is 100% legal to purchase and own the program, but it does say that it is up to the user to make sure that what they do with it is legal.
and yes, napster is like 9.99 a month for unlimited downloads. just these pesky licenses are always requireing attention it seems.
