My friend'* New Yorker
Jon used to drive a VW Cabriolet, but its transmission went out some time before last Saturday. His dad gave him this 1991 Chrysler New Yorker. It has a 3.3L V6.

As with almost all free cars, there are things you need to buy. We got a new air filter, which is tiny by any standard, an oil cap, and 2qt of oil. There was a new quart in the back seat, so I got to keep 1 1/2 qt of Exxon 10W-30. That was pretty cool.

That'* a beautiful car (body shape wise)
Don't do burnouts on keyboards with it..
My grandfather had one like that , but it was a deep maroon, almost brown.
edit: apparently it wasn't a New Yorker, but the Fifth Avenue (up market from the New Yorker)
Looked exactly like that (from what I can remember.. I was young, at least before 1995 he had it..)

The deep maroon is nice, but I think the happy blue is a little bit more fitting to the body style. I can't stop him if he wants to do keyboard burnouts.

Those are nice cars. They ride nice. My mom shortly had a Imperial (Top tier over New Yorker and 5th Ave.) Hers had the 3.8 V6, sluggish though for a 3.8, but better than the 3.3.

I actually haven't ridden in it, but it seems all right. I think he'll only have it for a month, but at least we get to enjoy messing with more car stuff until then. The interesting thing is that the plug wires, though oily, seem brand new. Everything about the car is really nicely maintained!

I owned a 1990 that looked just like without the headlight covers that I just got rid of a few weeks ago. I was amazed at how mechanically sound it was for being 18 years old.

SAFE cars. A family member rolled a similar one three and a half times...walked away.
Those are the ones that made the "Dodge stall" famous though

Wow, that'* impressive! I'm really getting mixed reviews, but overall I kind of like the car. The color fits it, and it'* really clean.
