edit...nevermind ill answer my own question, it just the slippery tires

the little engines have gobs of torque.. and the majority of even on road cars are 4WD, and the majority of off road trucks have 4WD also. And the tires arn't exactly the most grippy things in the world, especially if they get dirty.
