Default Have You Ever Experienced An Ego Problem?

Dudes and gals,

Be honest will you? Do you experience an ego problem, specifically with your Bonneville? For me, my ego is inflated because I think my car is the fastest in town but I know that'* not true but I have a hard time believing it or accepting that too.

How about you guys? Now I'm on the hunt for horsepower so I can continue believing that my car is the fastest. I've been served a few times, the worst was a 2002 Chevy Silverado Extended Cab dually running a 8.1L Big Block.

With my GTP, I know I'm not the fastest car on the road, but I do know in regular traffic I could easily waste most of the cars around me. My ego gets slightly inflated, but I know I'll never hold my ground against most of the muscle cars or tuners on the road ... until I mod more.

But where else can you find a car that is pretty quick, reliable, gets good mileage, and never gets stuck in the snow?

Ego problem? No, I already know I'm the fastest... or is that what you mean by ego?

I would come to a meet but there'* not any here in Ohio, at least not for a while and I don't think it'* offical that there will be a meet here in Ohio but I've heard of rumors. Please have one here.

Yeah I agree, it'* the instant torque in all 3.8L V6 that makes me feel like king of the road, oh how about passing and gettting on an onramp, like a rocket.

The testosterone level in this thread is thru the roof!!! I had a definate ego with my 1991 Bonne and will probably get one with the 94 when I get her out of the shop. It'* almost been 3 weeks since I've driven her and I'm going through withdrawals.
My white 91 was such a head turner especially with the blackouts on.

Not really in my Bonne, but in my S10? Oh yeah big time. My now ex-girlfriend'* father was always making fun of my truck because it was small compared to his fullsize GMC. So of course I always drove it like I had soomething to prove. I had a few mods under the hood so her little 2.2 could hold her own against the local rice tuners while looking like the plowboy truck that she was.

Now I get a little cocky in my TJ, that "if it'* in my way I'll just drive over it" feeling. Plus I love that 4.0 inline! Nothing like spanking rice while laying down 30 feet of smoke from my 31s. I hold off on the smoke most of the time since those damn tire are expensive though .

I miss my EB Bronco for that very reason.

Hey, why was this moved to Lounge? It'* related to the Bonneville. Fine whatever floats their boats.

A TJ laying 30 ft of marks with a I6 and 31s, I beg to differ, or should I say
