Lounge For casual talk about things unrelated to General Motors. In other words, off-topic stuff. And anything else that does not fit Section Description.

Thats odd to say the least

Today I brought both the Sable and the Bonne in for New York state Inspection.

oddly...
The Sable with 180041 miles passed everything and the Bonne with 95751 miles failed the pcm check. Evap System, O2 system, .. there were about 6 more. :? seemed like all the monitored systems weren't working right.

Ryan, can you recall what options you ordered the Intense PCM with?
Is there a highflow cat? Rear o2 still there?

Then on the way home I realized what happened. LOL
Take yer guesses.

ps - I'm an idiot is a given btw

the car was without battery power so the PCM was not in the proper ready state...

We have a winner!

Replaced the battery cables today and didn't think once about the PCM being reset.

I assume you are asking me?

If so, I ordered my INTENSE Standard PCM with the following:
Standard PCM
Stock idle speed tables
Adjust cooling fan settings to correspond with 180 degree thermostat
Stock WOT ignition timing tables - ideal for supercharged vehicles where 91 or 92 octane fuel is the highest available
Disable rear O2 sensor DTC'* (+$10.00) After talking to more people, I found that this isn't really necessary
Leave WOT shift points at stock settings - ideal for vehicles with stock rocker arms and camshaft (+$10.00)

Yes, I do still have the rear O2 sensor in the pipe and it is still plugged in, even though I have codes disabled and I don't have state inspections here. I just didn't see any reason to remove it

Yes, I did purchase and install a Magnaflow hi flow cat also
MagnaFlow Oval Catalytic Converter 2.5" - 94006 Price on that is $57.68 for Buy It Now OR Best Offer. FREE SHIPPING
I entered a best offer of $50.00 and they accepted was at my door in three days

***EDIT***
fixed the link to one that is still open
