School.
Well, school starts TUESDAY. I'm not looking forward to it, this being my Junior year in Highschool. The only thing I'm going to like is being able to see all of my friends again and hopefully there will be a couple new girls that are good looking. Turns out that one of my teachers for this year, I had freshman year. She got married, so she has a different name. Unfortunately, this teacher disliked me. With a passion. I didn't even goof off in her class, or sleep or anything, like I usually do. I've heard from many that she is sexist, and dislikes football players. So being a guy that plays football, I was screwed from the beginning. I usually try to suck up to my teachers the first month or two so that I can slack off later, usually works too. But for some reason, this teacher just hated me all year. Oh well, hopefully I have some cool kids in there with me that will make the year go by a little faster. This is going to be my most difficult year acidemically because of all the hard classes that I have to get in. Not to mention, I had Senioritis last year as a Sophmore, God knows how bad it'* gonna be this year as a Junior.
Well, tonight is the last night of summer officially. The last night I'm going to be able to stay out late with friends/girls. Boy, once school starts I KNOW I'm going to miss summer, BAD! Thankfully this was a really good summer, most likely the best ever. Another reason why I don't want it to end. I got a job, hooked up my Jeep with a nice sound system and a lift kit, hooked up with chicks, got in the best shape I have ever been in physically. I just don't want it to go away. Tonight I'm going to hang out with some of the guys/ girls I work with. Turns out one of the kids I work with (my age, 17) is just like me, working with him was pretty cool. We just goofed off while doing our job (cleaning up campsites and maintenance). Also, he had an older sister(19 years old) who I dated for a while here and there. Every now and then we'd meet some good looking girls that camped there for a couple days/nights. We've both already decided that we are going to work there again next summer. It'* a GREAT summer job, outside on my feet all the time. Beats sitting inside an office writing up stuff all day.
Well, I sure hope that you guys had as much fun as I did this summer. I sure know that I'm going to hate having to wake up early everyday to go to school for 6-7 hours to just sit on my butt and do absolutely nothing. Adios, summer.

Ha! Just wait until you start working, mortgage, taxes, grocery bills, income taxes, insurances....
Enjoy going to school....I'm 26 and have been working for 5 years now, I'd love to go back to school, but ya know.
Good luck this year guys and gals!

Hey Jim, you did the Architectural Technology program at Sheridan, right? I remember you mentioning it way back at the autoshow. I'll be going on Tuesday to start first year of Mechanical Engineering Technology at Davis campus. Looks like I could be the same as you, at this rate, I'll be out and working for 5 years by the time I'm 26.
Dependence sucks, but I'm willing to put up with it for the next 3 years to get the end result.
I get to walk the same hallways that Jim Wallace once traversed? Awesome

Indeed! I am a Davis campus graduate.
Pretty cool campus, and yes I graduated from Architectural Techy there, had a great time over 3 years. I think you'll like Davis.
PS, the Mech boys and Archys end up co-mingling a lot.

Yeah, the campus is pretty cool. They're building a whole new athletic facility right now, apparently it opens in October.
I dunno if you had it back then, but I gotta have a laptop for this program. Mandatory, I'm leasing-to-own it from the school :o
Oh well, just another excuse to rig something up and hook it to a car for scanning/info extraction
