Off topic, but speaking of swallows, they had a news article tonight about a family of Barn Swalllows that built a nest just inside a Home Depot. The cool part of the story was that they learned to use the motion sensors to open the door to get in to where thier nest is. Neatest thing I've seen on the news in ages!!
I saw this *cough*hijack*cough* in another thread, thought I'd post my story.
Read a story about a car wash operator suspecting one of his employees of stealing from the coin operated car wash. They each had a key, so he figured that one of them was opening it and taking a handful of coins every day, because he was noticing a loss. So he set up a surveillance cam to catch the thief red-handed.
When he watched the video some time later, he watched as a tiny bird, like a swallow or warbler landed on the coin return, then jumped inside and came back out with a couple of coins in his beak!
They located the nest on the roof of the building, and when they looked in it, there was over $1,000 worth of coins in it!!
I'll have to find the video again, it was the funniest thing I've seen in a bit!!
