That'* why my daughter is gonna go from 11 to 23, and skip all the years in between... when I have one, that is.

Even by 11 it could be too late.
My son tells me that there is a Rainbow Club in middle school..Gr.6-8..where the girls are into the "nasty" already. Genital herpes is rampant as is warts.

So I did some exploring on my daughter'* computer and discovered some nasty pics and vids.
....Bill, you will have to get Matt to tell you what he discovered at your place....

And so I find this one pic showing one of my daughters friends in the missionary position with a young boy that lives nearby......
She is only 12 years old.

Okay there is something seriously wrong with some of the parents in your town!! What is going on with some of the kids in your town?? Where are the parents? I know that you and Laura are great parents, and I think your daughter is just going through a phase, and she will grow out of it I must say, and I am thankful, that everytime I mention sex to Jess, she gets grossed out!! We have always talked about it, but she has no interest in it at all. We are lucky that we live in a small close knit community, yes there are some bad eggs out there, but for the main part the kids here are really good. Jess did start hanging around a girl I really don't trust all that much, and this girl knows it, and she is trying her best to make me like her again. I am keeping a close eye on things. As long as you and Laura stay on top of things, everything will work out fine. This could have been her one last party before school starts.

The one thing I have discovered about children today is they are masters at fooling their parents in order to fulfill self gratification.
Sure when YOU talk to them about sex they get all grossed out but it'* WAY different when they are with their peers.
I have been sneeky and listened in on conversations....going as far as to use tape recordings too.
I was so shocked by it, that I almost regret it.
We have always been open and talk till we're blue in the face and tired of seeing those eyes roll up.
There are a lot of two working parents and single parents that aren't able to fully supervise their tweens/teens.
I think that our kids have been over stimulated. We have exposed them to everything. They have been and are involved with everything.
Chynna only sleeps 5 hours a night when she'* in school....then she naps before dinner.

She has lost her driving privledges for a few weeks. I've had to use that punishment so often it'* no wonder she doesn't have her license yet.
She has already blown about a third of what she earned this summer with not much to show for it. Good thing I put half into her untouchable bank account.

I'm so glad that Victor is different. Heh..he just landed his first job yesterday. Motel cleaning boy.

12 Years old is definatly a little young for that kind of thing. I can understand having **** or whatever on your computer being in high school, but having pictures of your friends being 12 and having sex. The drinking, I can also understand, she is 17, it happens, why she got brought home by the cops because of a fight and drinking, I don't know. I guess maybe because its a small town.
As for disapline, I have no idea, I think the worst for me would be no driving, but thats just me.

I'm so glad we didn't have a daughter for just these reasons.

And we only have one boy who is 10 years away from being a teenager yet...

Oy...10 years of peace yet to go...

You can only hope!! Trust me boys have their moments too. I have one of each, and I would not trade them for anything, but there are some days

If that were my daughter, || <-- this close to going to jail, she would be imprisoned within the home for a time. I would remind her the difference between "appropriate" and "inappropriate" conduct, and would come just short to fitting her with a chastity belt and swallowing the key.

I am an advocate of "tough love". It'* gotta be done sometimes, and it works. I can understand the fear that you may push your daughter away and she'll never speak to you again, but in the long run, she'll always remember that and, most importantly, *respect* you for it.

You may comnsider at this time, to schedule and do more one on one things with your daughter. She'* changing by leaps and bounds, and you'll need extra time to keep up with her, or you'll quickly find that you have no idea who your daughter is.

That'* my two cents worth.
