Default More computer help?

for like a week now ive been gettiong a pop up from Norton antivirus saying it has detected a virus called "Downloader.Dluca" or somthing like that and it says its unable to repair the file, or even get access to it. when it comes up i have to click the "OK" button like 5 times for it to go away. also my homepage has been set differently to a site which launches lots of pop ups when i click IE, and the site changes almost daily.
Are these prblems related, or not? ive tried a full system scan and thats the only infected file it comes up with but it cannot fix it. what do i do? :(

visit www.sarc.com and lookup the virus, Symantec may have a virus removal tool for that specific virus you can download and run.

the program should remove it. all you should have to do is click a button and watch the fireworks. or watch the paint dry.depends on how long it takes.

LowLyfe83, You say your homepage is changing daily and getting pop-ups along with it. Looks like you have some spyware running around in your pc. I use NSW2003 and NIS2003. In the past I have received a few notices where Norton could not repair the infected file. I just deleted it with no problems. Hope you don't have Gator or Bonzo Buddy. They are known culprits for spyware. I use Ad-Aware and SpyBot reguraly to keep the bugs out. I also use the free ver of pop-up stopper and it works. Below are some links for your viewing pleasure.

Exactly. My users here sometimes stumble into sites where these hijackers install themselves on your computer "behind the scenes". I use Ad-Aware Professional 6.0, and Spy-Bot, the latter being awesome. This should get rid of it.
