Hopefully that'* all it is, but it still doesn't explain (as he never cleared up before) where he was getting the money for even one of these cars.

Its really quite sad that the MC never got the SC until THAT late...i mean cmon GM!
reminds me of a time i parked next to my buddies....97ish? Monte Carlo SS back when i had the Bonneville.
i was like "nice car man, is it fast?" he was like "oh yeah its pretty dang quick" i was like "yeah i bet it hauls" he was like "OOOOH yeah"....then i was like "i have the same exact engine you do"...he was like "no effin way, BS" so i said "pop the hood" and then i did the same....he was just kinda standing there dumbfounded as i laughed and then got in my car and layed some rubber in the parking lot...

I thought the 97ish Monte Carlo had the 3400 or was it the 3100? Whatever, the newer Monte Carlos, they're nice but only certain trim levels with certain colors and with certain rims look really good..but....I prefer the Bonneville, so encourage the friend who'* looking for a Monte Carlo to check out hte Bonne.

base was 3100 and SS was 3400 there for a while
and then base was 3400 with SS being the L36 for a while
and then base was L36 with SS being L67
and now i think the base is still the L36 with the SS being the 5.3 V8? could be wrong on that or any of them really.
i agree with only certain colors/wheels looking good, the styling and overall appearance of those cars varies between a love/hate on each individual car.

The 97ish Monte Carlo, as I recall had a pkg called Z34, I thought that was because it had the 3400 V6 and some additional tidbits. I need to check the internet to see which car came with the 3400 so I know.
