Missed it by 'that" much
I had my snowtires put on yesterday and should have brought my camera. They had a silver 97 non-annivesary SE Bonneville (NA) in the lot. This car was in fantastic shape and spotless! I asked the counterperson if they also sold cars since it had no plates on it. He said no, it was there from a Dealer but wouldn't give up more than that.
I must have looked over that car 3 times while I waited, two mechanics came out and talked with me a bit and the 2nd one let me in the car. 55,000 miles on it!
The shop owner let me get the guys number but it was already past 5 and I left a message. I called again this morning to learn the bad news, if it was at that shop - it was already sold and in this case for a mere four grand.
I would have been all over that! This car was so 'Pristine' it was amazing!
He wants me to give him a call in the morning and come out a look at a GTP he has coming in.
