Default Onstar or not to Onstar

My Regal has Onstar and the svc costs like 18 buck a month for the basic svc......think its worth it....all I have to do is lock my keys in it once a month for it to pay for itself right??? LOL

Come on now. How often do you lock your keys in the car!

Probably more of a chance they unlock your car by accident when you least expect it.....or track you after one of your B & E'*.

i don't want it. Never really appealed to me either. But my opinion. I'm sure for some people it could pay for itself in the end, but for others, just like throwing money in the wind.

I think they have a sort of privacy policy....my main worry is if I was taking a high speed run after my Intense PCM (still have to get exhaust first) gets installed and they call me up when im cruisin 150 er so and ask if I am ok, then ask me how my vehicle is travelling faster than its 108 mph fuel cutoff.......then they might make a call to my extended warranty company then im in trouble LOL....but like I said I think they have a privacy deal....plus if an SES light come on they can moniter my car...then tell me its sending a signal that its getting too much boost LOL!!!!!

yeah tire changins never been a prob for me either (I busted tires for 2 yrs before i went into shop management), and ive got a local towing company that will pretty much tow me any where in town for free, being my shop gives them so much bizznass.....but if I fuq up and my airbag goes off and im unconcious in the middle of no where it helps that someone will call help...but then again im almost never in the middle of nowhere LOL

*I pre-apologize for being off topic.*

A friend of mine has this heavily modded(suspension mainly) CRX and his is big time into auto cross/road racing. His wife had just bought a brand new Malibu Maxx and he decided to test the Malibu out on the course, rather than the Honda. He took me with him on a few fun-runs and as we were whipping around the cones, the "onstar chick" came on and said that "We're detecting that you are under heavy acceleration, braking and steering. Do you need assistance?" She repeated herself five times before my buddy shouted "Shut the F up already!!!!!" Needless to say, I hope he doesn't need and warrenty work done to it...
