Because most of them are ported or Gen 5'* so while they are off they get painted or powdercoated.

Nice pics! Will straight up painting the supercharger reduce its performance though by trapping more heat?

Probably won't make a big difference.

Yes, painting it will hold the heat in, therefore keeping the blower hotter, which in the end would make the air going into the engine hotter, meaning more KR. However, the difference is not huge. And most people in that club aren't worried about that small little amount. I'd never paint my blower, but their cars look pretty good, and if you have to sacrifice a little speed to make it look good then so be it.


The pics look good. I wanted to go, but the weather was crappy and I didn't see the point in driving over an hour if it was just gonna rain. Looks like you guys had a good time.
