Yea, that'* right, genuise stirkes again... So here goes...
I was burning some old cardboard and scrap wood this afternoon. After about 2 hours it was all on the fire and burning down. So I walked over to knock it down a bit more. I used my right foot to kick the pile down a bit. No...I didn't catch on fire or anything but when I stepped back I ended up stepping on a nail.
Yea, it hurt a little bit so I quickly reached down to pull it out. Normally this isn't a big deal. I've stepped on nails before. This one was probably in one of the used 2x4'* chunks I threw on the fire.
Anyways... I reach down to pull it out just to find that this nail must have been in the fire. I grabbed on tightly and pulled. I couldn't see it when I pulled it out but by the marks it left on my fingers I can bet it was glowing red hot. I spent over 3 hours with my hand in ice water so it wouldn't sting like hell. Finally my roomate woke up around 5pm (a little too much fun on the 4th
) and went out and got me some neosporin for it. So now I have three fingers with the perfect burned impression of a nail in them.
So does this qualify as a Darwin canadate? Even though I am still alive?
