Fixed my coil springs finally A good car now.........
Well I went to the junk yard today to find some strut assemblys for my 1995 ford contour and I found 2 contours that had the struts all pulled and stuff then I found a 2.0l dohc mercury mistuique and i know that would work good thing is the tranny was already taken out of the car and the frame with suspension was sitting all out the strut assemblys costed only $11 a piece $22 total and wow the car we took it out of musta had new struts or something at the time of death cause the suspension is so tight......... It was a bitch getting in tho lota kicking and hammering tring to get the strut in with no compression tools no more clunking when turning sigh you should see the coils on my old strut assemblys wow so messed up 1 was snapped right in the middle and it was rubbing on the car and it was all mangled in there and the other side was alittle less severe.........wish i could show pics............now what does she top out at is the question.....the kid that had it b4 me says he had it up to 120 but I put in a cool air intake and a performance muffler so i am guessing 125 mph god i love my $130 car.........well $130+$22 and 2 hrs of my work and boom a car i could probally get over a grand for easy...........

GOOD! I know we all have the shiny hi performance parts urge but you gotta have a solid foundation to build on. safety first! As a father of 2 and daily driver of our roads, I dont mind someone who likes to let thier car stretch out a little, but make sure your ride is SOLID first!. Also, you might get some good perf ideas from http://www.contour.org Kinda looks a little like this place. I am not suggesting that you leave the wonderful group here, just want you to have the best info for your ride
I hope you get 14'* with it! SAFELY
