looking for ideas for a webpage
I have to create a small website about myself for my web class. I have a basic layout done with some tabs including: Home, About Me, Cars, Interests, Resume, Links
I have no idea what to include on the home page. Any ideas? I like things simple and neat, just like Google'* home page.

take a look at what i have going on.
www.schueneman.net
I have my site there and there is a link on the "home" page to Sara'* teaching website. once she gets a teaching job she intends to use it all the time...
my site doesn't flow all that well, but i was trying out different ideas.

Take some of what you probably have under "About me" and put it on the homepage... just a short intro stating who you are, and what they will find on the site

no need for flash, this is a basic HTML class. I just need to fill it up with some text, tables and images.

Great start IMO. The only thing I would do is maybe make the menu bar a little shorter, just a little sleaker... Other than that, I love the color combo, and the logo is very professional. That looks like a good candidate for frames, have you thought about them? The best way to do them is with a DHTML script, but that might be a little too advanced for the class...
