Default 3800 powered test drives

today I went to our gm dealership and test drove 2 cars, one was a band new 2003 monte carlo SS (76 miles!!!!!), and the other was a 2000 grand prix GTP(33,000 miles).

i really loved the monte carlo SS, but i just wish the damn thing had a series 2 L67 that really pisses me off. I have got too admit it did make me realize that i drive a granny car, a fast one, but it still holds that familiy sedan look. the monte looked cool as all hell and was fun as F@%& to drive!!! I felt cool just standing by it. I just wish that gm would have made the monte carlos supercharged too.

the GTP, that was a hell of a lot faster than my '93 ssei, i got on the highway and and turned around, stepped on the gas, looked in the re-veiw and saw 2 black marks, not bad for a 1-2 MPH rolling start, better than mine could have done, damn i couldnt belive how fast that thing was, when i was getting on the on-ramp for the freeway i steeped her down and we were cruising @ 90MPH by the time we got to the freeway.

I wasnt really interested too much in the GTP because it was a 4 door and the interior was nothin close to as classy (like a bonnie) or as sporty (like the monte carlo) it just didnt seem right, but damn fun to drive.

the reason i was test driving other cars today was because my bonnie might be gettin a new owner here sometime (my older sister) and im thinkin about getting a newer car, latley i've been looking at 00-02 monte carlos, because they sure as hell are a lot cheaper than bonnevilles, but the just dont have as much power. what do all of you guys think about it, what would cars would you be looking at?

The 2004 Impala SS and the 2004 Monte Carlo SS will both have the Series II L67.

Happy now?

I just found that out looking at the chevrolet website :P

too bad theres no way in hell i can afford a brand new vehicle
but oh well, i'll just be having to keep my eyes open for an 00-02 ssei to come along.

i think i would buy a monte carlo, just cuz chicks think they look cool and are more sporty looking. but.......
sometimes i cant stand waiting and god-damnit when i want to go, I WANT TO GO!!!!

things i think the monte carlo is lacking are:
-supercharger
-head up display
-a little dial or gauge that would tell me my MPG like the GTP has.
other than that i think it rocks.

but then again the new bonnie is kinda more sporty looking, although the choices for wheels suck, i'd want new chrome rims, but still fact is that the new bonnies have more power and are sportier, while still re-taining their luxoury and sophistication.
