Rant - Stupid "helicopters"...
...dropping off the maple tree in my front yard. Freakin' things are EVERYWHERE. Millions of 'em! They're fun for the first couple of minutes, but now I gots to clean 'em up and get rid of 'em.
Hmm. How do I get rid of those helicopters?
Heh, heh.

I wish I knew. I have the same problem, except mine are from last year and are sprouting.
We got a lot of them up with a leaf rake last fall, anf agin this spring. But there'* still a buttload of them around.

Not everybody lives in the middle of frozen-freakin-nowhere... Down here, we got these things called "cities", where the houses are real close together. So, we have to pay and/or get permission before dropping a tree on someones house or car....

Actually, I MISS maple trees. And oak, cedar, and persimmon.
Wanna know what I have to deal with? Palm trees. Not so much the trees (I have 15 in my yard...and it'* a 1/4 acre lot), but the dead branches that fall off of them. I learned while I was in Guam that the ancient islanders used them as weapons. Not too hard to imagine as the branch is rock hard when dead.
Oh yeah, I also have 50 foot pine trees (about 5 of them) that just love dumping their needles. Esp. now since everything is so dry.
