Anyone ever used Kubuntu?
I just ordered 10 cd'* (8 x32 cds and 2 x64 cds). I figured I would pass them out to people I know. BTW, you can order up to 10 cd'* for TOTALLY free.
Soo..... anyone used it? If so, is it good? I know it is a linux for beginners, but I am in fact a beginner when it comes to linux.

Yes, I have it and I use it. I really like it, it is almost like a Mac OSX look and feel. Very clean.
Beware though, if you have an ATI graphics card, you might have some issues installing it.

There is just a random picture I googled for. I'd take a picture of mine, but that computer is all opened up as I am installing another HD. I think it is great for chatting and going on the internet.
LOL! That was the deal killer for me right there
Oh no! :( I have a ATI Radeon Express 200 onboard card at the time.
I have that same card on the one that I installed Kubuntu on. It took a little bit to figure it out, but someone helped me through it and got me what I needed. I also had a problem with the speed that I burned the CD, but if you order one from them you should be fine with that.
I would say that it is Macish, it has so nice features to play around with.

I think that most NVIDIA cards should work with it. The problem is if you are installing it, it will take like 30 minutes to get to the graphics card problem, and it won't really tell you what the problem is so you might have to troubleshoot for yourself. Like copy the screen it screws up on.
Kubuntu has a really nice partition feature, but you just have to be careful on what you are doing so you don't lose anything. It makes dual booting with Windows pretty easy.
