latest craigslist deal
This Christmas is going to be a good one for my parents, little do they know. My dad has been wanting a garage heater for his HUGE garage (30'x60') for a long time. He knows a guy that he works with that has one for sale. However, everytime that my dad has the money, the guy is not available, and vise versa. I thought this would be a great Christmas present for him. I called the guy and told him I wanted to get it for Christmas. He told me he has been working on it for weeks and he can't get it working, so he doesnt want to sell it. No problem, I'll just go on craigslist.
After about 30 minutes of searching and emailing, I found the one. Its a Reznor 125,000/in, 99,000/out BTU natural gas 6" inlet/outlet w/blower unit. I drove 2 hours up to the cities with a buddies Durango to the guy'* house. He was a very nice guy. He explained everything about the unit to me. He said it was taken from a construction site because after they finish the building, they are self heated. This unit looks brand new. It is so large it barely fit in the Durango. $200 cash. I called our local REZNOR dealer today to get a price on what it is worth. A new one is $1055.00
Now add this into the equation, http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...ic.php?t=89174 and you have a very Merry Christmas.

Nice work Andrew. With all the struggles your parents have had lately, this should make it a great Christmas for them. Better take some Kleenex along as well for the tears. You know how moms are!

Adding on what Ddalder said...you might want to get some kleenex for your brother too...I predict your parents will favor you a lot more than him..
J/K, they're going to have a rockin' christmas.
All of this makes my gifts to my parents pale in comparsion...
