The Ohio State Highway Patrol had a Camaro they seized from a drug dealer.
Thing had had some serious mods done on it, and would run 190-200mph!!
They assigned it to the Trooper who had the most arrests during the previous month, and it was based right here near Pataskala for 3 months about 4 years ago. You'd be driving along Rt.16 and hear a siren about 1/2 a second AFTER the cop passed you!!!

Saw a riced Mustang in Indiana with lights...eep
Here in DeKalb County, there'* a black unmarked souped up Grand Am...that thing WHINES like you would not believe :blueshock:
Illinois state cops are also running around in unmarked white Ford Windstars...not to mention the Honda accord I saw on my last road trip
So tell me, when are these guys gonna get smart and start getting SSEis?
I'm not sure if this law is national or Illinois based, but the seized cars can only be used to enforce the laws that were the reason the car was seized. eg...a car seized for drug use HAS to be used for drug law enforcement. So you won't see a seized car used for traffic enforcement around here. Chances are that if there'* a really SWEET cop car, it was bought at auction elsewhere.
