2.5 L staring back at me. i found this between cylinders 2 and 3. if this is correct, the guy that changed the engine in my car gave me the engine out of a taurus. any fellow ford experts able to confirm my findings?

btw, tempo'* came with 2.3 liters, and the 1st gen base model taurus came with a 2.5 liter stroked tempo engine. set up to get more torque for the tarus

well, the guy had this engine laying around from his topaz <so he says> and i opted for this over the head gasket job.

this would explain the behavior of the car <butt loads of torque, awesome midrange, but dry top end>. i need to find a vin on the engine, just to be sure though.
