I wasn't even trying to race. I was at a stoplight in our town this morning...and i usually watch the "don't walk" hand and when it becomes steady, i launch! usually it is a few seconds before the light turns green (mind you i ONLY do this when ithere is no crossroad traffic). i had no idea there was a v6 honda accord stick shift next to me. so i launched and heard this squalling next to me (i knew it wasn't me) and there was this red accord. so i kept it nailed and this guy and i were at a for-real dead-heat...after nearly a quarter mile and around 65+or- mph he started to pull away slowly...i'd have killed him if */c bonnie were still alive! REMEMBER GUYS, I NOW DRIVE A '97 3800 BUICK LESABRE!!! THAT GUY ALMOST LOST TO AN OLD FOGIE CAR!!!! it was fun.

These guys will never understand the significance of low end torque. Even the L27 and L36 excel in this area. Most of the import crowd is so hung up on HP (cuz that'* all they got) that the fail to look at the torque, where real power actually comes from.
Glad you stayed in the family, Bean!

65+ mph in a 1/4....WOW that is Nasty Slow! I think you were probably going more like 88 mph in the 1/4, or you were going 65 in something less than the 1/4. In any event, it is nice that you let the Accord now what a sleeper those LeSabres can be! Good Show!

I think that Mr. Bean was just so excited when he posted his story, that he didn't realize what he was saying. Anyway, I think I am feeling the overall sentiment when I say, "Nice job Bob."

Accord V6 stickshift? Those things came back for 2003 for only the coupe, and get to 60mph in 5.9 seconds... either the guy you were racing wasn't going all out, or it wasn't a 2003 stickshift
These Accords do have a decent low end, with their 211lb-ft at 5000rpm. However, their low end does not hold up to a 3800 though.
