Just wanted to correct you.
It'* not a 3.9 V6 with 308 hp.. it'* a
3.6 Direct Injection V6 with 304hp
The V6 runs 0-60 in 5.9 seconds and the 1/4 mile in 14.2x @ 100.xx mph..with 29mpg epa ratings to boot!!!
Definately a Base model pony car NOT to be ashamed of owning thats for sure!
As for $32k the one you drove must have been 2LT/RS car (fully loaded top model V6 car with the RS appearance package) other extras? The V6 modles start with the LS which starts at $23k, and then you have the 1LT and 2LT models, 2LT being the fully loaded V6 model.. then the V8 models..1SS starts at $30k and the 2SS is the loaded model which starts at around $33-34k I beleive.
Great car'* tho, and plan to pick up a used one in a year or two when I have the room. I have had a 94 Z28, 96 Z28, and a 99 Trans Am, along with the '69 SS Convertible that is still in the garage, and really want a 2010. I have Been following the car since the concept was announced in 2006!
Will be getting a 2SS tho.. even tho the V6 car is a great car, I gotta have that 426 hp LS3

just noticed i think i need to clarify the 0-60 and 1/4 times and speeds may have been for the one they used in the trials i only say this cause no two cars are the same (for example i have driven 2 bonnie gxp'* both 04'* and had the same options but 1 was slow as crap my ssei could kill it but the other one was very quick and responsive) probably based on when they were built and any other upgrades that may have been an after thought the one i drove was great on take off however when transitioning speeds down the road she seemed lax with the accelerator with it takin a lil to get her pep back braking was excellent and so was conering and general handleing

Thanks for sharing the pics!
Looks like a 1LT/RS by the pictures (cloth seats and no 4 pack gauges by the shifter)
I have a feeling they had a mark-up on that car? $32k seems high for a 1LT/RS.. I can see a 2LT/RS with the stripes, painted engine cover etc..being in that price area, but not a 1LT... I know a lot of dealers are charging $2k-$5k over MSRP because of the demand..but lots of dealers are selling for MSRP or just over Invoice as well (the good dealers that is!)

ya i think so too they had an accessory sticker on it for the painted engine cover, car cover, and stripe kit those 3 were like $2000 and then there was another charge for $2000 with no real explanation i asked about it and they pawned it off on what was already listed funny huh? originally priced $28,xxx

at work we got our Silver 2LT RS, no appearance package other than the optional black chrome 20s, and the normal options.... no stripes either, msrp, 30,010... with a 6k markup... total - $36,000 flat
told the salesmen they were retarded since you could order an SS any way you wanted for 42 and thats including shipping to your door...
btw the reason its a little laggy is the TB is electronic actuated so it takes about 2-3 seconds to fully open up when you put it to the floor... not like our cable driven bonnies... the design change allows power to be more gently applied so you dont go off doing donuts without really wanting to... but it kinda sux too when you want to play... but a reprogram will enhance it

And yes, the DBW (drive by wire) is much different than the cable driven TB like the bonne'* have. My Trailblazer I traded in for the Bonne was a DBW, and throttle response was HORRIBLE, even though it had 291hp/275tq stock.. A tune makes a WORLD of difference and fixes that though. My Bonne isn't fast by any means, but it "feels" a lot faster than my Trailblazer did just because of the fact it is so responsive right from the get-go.
