So yesterday me and my GF go to the "world on wheels" car show downtown. I'm driving around and find a close ramp to park in. Clearance was only something like 6'-2", which was just enough for my C3 to fit under. Now what I thought was funny was the guy in line in front of me had a Dodge 2500 with a metal rack above the cab. He was following the guy in front of him. He yelled to the guy infornt of him and pointed to the rack above him. The Dodge then pulled to the next lane where they had a higher height handicap van accessible entrance (a few spots on main level only). Well, after sitting there for a few minutes he realized that he wasn't getting in that way. So he pulls back in line behind me. Now I'm thinking, either this guy is going to have to back out of line, or it'* gonna get interesting. Well, I was watching in my rear view mirror as this guy slowly pulls under the hanging bar (you know, the one you have to go under to get into the ramp). Well, it was very abruptly dragging across the top of his truck. I pulled up to the lot attendant right as he was scraping under. The look on her face was pure gold, deer in headlights almost! So I pay my $9 parking fee and drive thru. I find a spot 1 level up and back in. So I hop out of the truck just in time to see this guy, in his Dodge, going about 20mph, into an overhead support. Wedged the truck right under it. Then I here a few simple words (f****, *****, son of a b****, etc...) So he slams it in reverse and hauls back out the entrance from which he came. Moral of the story. if it says 6'-2", then 6'-2" is it and 7'-0" will not fit. The sign is there for a reason dumba$$.
