Well, think of it this way, at least with it happenning now, you're not missing work.

That'* not fun at all. I had mine removed in the ER when I was 5-years-old. I was walking funny for a while. I was in the hospital for 10 days (complications, infection after I was stitched up...). I think it was around the holidays too.

did it burst?
i had mine burst a few months back, i was in intense pain, but i too, thought it was the stomach flu... after 1 week of that my mom brought me to the ER... i CRAWLED in the ER... i had emergency surgery and they found that i mine had ruptured... they also found bacteria in there, because basically my **** was floating around in me... could have easily died.. they took out 3" of my small intestine. i was in the hospital for 1 week and then out of school for almost a month...
the doctor said my high pain tolerance is not such a good thing, i waited way to long

Damn Andrew! That is why I am glad I had mine out when I couldn't tolerate the pain so well. Because I would wait too long if I had that now.
I actually need surgery for an unrelated problem, but I don't get the pain very often. I just don't want to get the surgery. :(
