*FREE* Brake Inspection Consists of =
I didnt have the "guts" to attempt to change my own pads without a way to bleed the brakes. I screwed up brakes on a car before with ABS and I wont do it again without a bench bleeder.
Anyway I took the car in to commerical tire and they said they will do a pre-inspection.
I wrote down the miles, 120539
2 hours later I get a phone call.
"Hi, we completed the initial inspection, your pads are worn down is whats making the noise, everything else appears to be fine, they are wearing equally, all you need is the rotors turned and new pads"
I say sounds good, "put some Ceramix pads on there and I will prey for the rotors to last"
2 hours later I get a call telling me to come pick the car up.
Pay my dues (got a killer deal)....and go out to the car.
Upon turning it on the gas gauge is significantly lower, and the miliage is up to 120562.
Worst of all, the lumbar is partially inflated, different levels, the lower back support is on like max, the uppers are only partially more than what I had before.
I think they played with every single of the 9 seat buttons lol.
Either way now this grandmamobile stops like a damn good now so I might forgive. Ceramic brakes rock.

Secondly on brakes I thought it was always better when you compress the piston in the caliper to let the excess fluid to get out, rather than to put strain on the other brake components.
Also Brake fluid is alcohol based, and hydroscopic. ie: it absorbs water from the air, and any other source. This affects it'* anti-rust properties and it'* boiling point. The fluid in the caliper is the bottom of the barrel in quality. It has been exposed to the most heat and is the oldest fluid.
therefore it needs to be changed every pad change in my humble opinion.
Either way to get the rotors turned, fluid changed out of all sides, ceramic pads = $120 after corperate discount. plus a 2 year warranty if the ceramic pads eat the rotors lol.

Brakes, Transmission work, and bottom end rebuilds go to the shop
