Default How to sell (on Ebay)

Im in the process of cleaning out the garage and in about 2 weeks I need to start selling about 50 items that are new I will never use them and can use the money. I was thinking maybe Ebay would be the best source to sell them on.
In my life time I have probably sold 2 items and have never been to comfortable with doing so therefore I.m asking advice on how to sell on Ebay or other methods to get these products sold. I have purchased 100'* of items on Ebay but never sold. I know that there is probably a section on how to sell on Ebay, but I'm a man, and that would require to much reading.

Any advice?

Definitely agree with the above advice. My wife buys and sells tons on eBay, and definitely good descriptions and photos are the biggest plus.

I suggest to put them up on your local Craigslist as soon as you identify that you want to sell it. It may make selling some of the items easier too as you'll get local people, it'* free, and they'll host a couple pictures for you. I suggest you make an account (just requires and email address and password and a verification number to sign up. No personal info) as you can edit the postings there.

I do this before I try ebay due to the issues of the ebay fees and shipping hassle. That'* just my suggestion.

Craigslist costs money for dealers to use, but normal people it is free. It is also straight forward to use. I think sometime this week I will create a mini How-To of CL for people that haven't used it before.
