One of the local Chevy dealers here has something cool I just found out about. Ok so to start out with, its a HUGE dealership, anyway, the service department is open from 7am to 12am (midnight) and thats only part of the astonishing. I talked to someone about a part for my truck and he said "Sorry, I dont have data on my computer for that year, only back to 1999, but we have all of the service manuals, for a long way back, in a publicly browsable library." I was astonished, they have Manufacturer manuals that they let the public view, and you have access to them for 19 Hours a day
Wonder if thats small town (subjective 120,000 pop) service, or just the one dealers preference?
