Default Trader........

So this morning the SSEi was blocked in by the wifey'* Maxima. So I decided to take her car. MISTAKE!!!dh2

After taking my son to school.....couple of appointments and so on BAM!!!! In the middle of a busy 4 lane street the car dies!! Was able to coast to the side of the road. Got it started and had the car scanned and it is the camshaft sensors that are bad.

I had to laugh after a few vulgar words were said. This thing did not warn me,.....SES light came on 5 minutes before and really...........STOP!

Now my local Nissan/Infiniti Dealership is saying about $500 bucks for a hour job! FML!

I have no idea where the sensor is on that car, but changing it should be a easy job. On our cars is one plug, and one bolt. Not much even in the way.

Out racing Civics again, Eh? Sorry to hear man. Speaking of Civics, when we traded my wife'* in for the Prius it had done the same thing but still drivable. Estimate for the two sensors came in around yours. One of many reasons we flipped it as a tradein. Got top BlueBook after putting 170K on it in 8 years.

Had AAA tow it to my Uncle'* house. He usually fixs all foregin.....sometimes he takes on a domestic. He knew exactly where it is. Right side, Timing chain cover needs to come off and some doohickey and whatchamacallit has to come off to. Told me to pick it up in the AM

Why I didnt have it towed to him first......dont know. But the dealer did not charge me to tell me the issue. There pretty good guys there.
