Ok, for some reason, these things usually come easy to me. You get to know the girl, you get to know her friends, wait a couple months and ask her out, but I don't know her that well or anyone around her. I bet she doesn't even know I exist. My problem is that I've lost all confidence in myself, haha. I can't get the nerve to even ask her a question, let alone on a date. She'* quite popular in her clique, but I never see her with any guys. I know she'* not seeing someone (thank you, facebook, lmao), and I know she'* looking. So, my question is, what do I do? How should I approach this? Should I try to sweep her off her feet or play it cool and befriend her? I just don't know where to start, haha; I've never been in a place like this where I don't know half the people here.

Just cowboy up and talk to her to make sure she'* all shes cracked up to be. You may be pleasantly surprised or disappointed.

Just grow a pair and walk up to her. If she doesn't like you then she doesn't. Plain and simple, it just means you were overshooting a bit
