Default I'm Goin' Home.....

Lately living here at the trailer hasn't been working out. Its getting to where I'm having trouble getting the bills paid and being able to have fun with life. So I'll be moving back home with my mother (whos happy about it, we've never had bad blood, I wanted my own place and she was fine with it)! Advantages are I will pay less in bills so I'll more $$$ to save and spend on my car (FWI and Hi-flow cat here I come!) My mother won't be as lonely, I'll have a barely usable garage (needs work, then I can store my car away from winter/vandals), and I'll be better able to spend more time with friends there since I'm cooped here 20 minutes away. Its a couple months from happening (gotta sell the trailer, but gotta finish the siding job) So I'm enjoying it while it lasts.

Goodbye South Beloit, Welcome back Machesney Park!

At least you have that experience now, so the next time when you are for sure ready, you already know what to expect and what it takes

Good decision. But...a word of advice. Don't get too caught up in spending money on the car. I, like most young car fanatics, did the same thing without even thinking twice about it in my youth, forgetting that I'm gradually getting older in the meantime, and different priorities were going to pop up. Well...not that I'm old now, but you know what I mean. Point is, I regret doing it now. I should have been putting that money away for a house, or to have a nice financial cushion, etc. If I had to do it over again, I would have focused on buying a house first, cars second. Now it'* a bit late. I mean I still plan on buying a house in the next year or so, but no matter how much the housing market plummets in this real estate price correcting period, it will never be nearly as cheap as it was pre-housing market boom. That'* a lot of time and money I wasted on something that should have been a hobby AFTER I got my own house with a garage.

Anyhow, just some friendly advice from someone who'* lived and learned from a few extra years on you.

He'* right. Don't go overboard. Maybe buy a mod when you got some spare cash or the modification is a replacement for a broken part.

Don't just buy something to have it until later in life...I havn't reached "later" yet.

Thanks for the advice guys.

I sould've said I will have more $$$ for everyday life, I'm not really going to dump all my spare $ on my car. I'll be able to get my car up in shape.
