I'll second the suction cup mount, will. There is a guy in the local SCCA region that has a suction mount for his car duing auto-x events. Works like a champ. I'll try to post a vid if possible soon.

Not the video I was thinking of, but it still works.
Taken at one of the auto-x events last June. All the in/on car sections are filmed using a Suction style mount.
