I understand now why some species eat their young!!!! I just came from coaching the worst soccer practice ever!!!! These kids would not listen, they just kept on being little smarta**es!!!! I am coaching this team with 3 men, and wouldn't you know it, none of the men to could make it tonight so I was by myself. I tried everything to get these kids to listen, but they would not. I even made them run laps, hoping to smarten them up but it did not work. So like any good coach...I cancelled the rest of practice. I normally love coaching soccer, but tonight makes me want to quit!!!

I have one favour to ask all parents, please teach your children manners!!!!

lol, i'm sorry to hear that. But, i can relate. It was something like that for a week 24 hours when I was a camp counselor for 5th graders..... Talk about hell freezing over.....

I am drawing a blank but there was/is a show where someone else
say they can do better.so they make a bet and when the first coach comes back
all the student are doing everything that is asked.
then of course when coaches back is turned the "temp" coach is seen Paying $$
the team.

Okay first of all, I don't get paid...I WISH!!! Second I am out there to have fun, and to help the kids. Third, I really enjoy working with kids, and it should not matter if the male coaches are there are not, it is the fact that they act this way when I am there alone. They don't act this way when the other coaches are at practice. I have been with this team since the season started, you would think that by now they would know what I expect of them. Oh and to top it off, some of the kids come to practice without the proper equipment. When I played and where we just moved from if the kids didn't have the right equpment, they did not play.

Okay I done venting now...I think.

Had to deal with sixth graders a while ago, demonstrating stuff in science.


I had the pleasure of scaring them with the Van Der Graff generator: "It'* only 400,000 Volts, no need to worry" They were pretty good, actually.

Im sorry for your anguish, But I have a feeling you will not give
up on Kids and coaching in one form or another. Yes they are
a pain but if it wasn't for volenteer coaches we don't know where the kids
would be.

I was speaking with an Electrical Contractor today who told me that prior to 1978 it was allowable to hit your Electrical apprentice when he screwed up.

Now you can't even yell at your kids or apprentices, let alone slap them or you will face charges from Social Services or harassment charges. Where has the discipline gone?
