I need help!
Well this is not car related so thatis why it is here.
Here is my problem. I am having a hard time figuring our what I want to get into for a future job. I did retail for 8.5 years. Moved out of town and went back to school for web development ( fast track course, 8 months) couldn't find a job doing that so then did tech support for 1 year ( worse job I ever had) and once I quit that job ( and moved back to my home town) I am currently on the road as a sales rep/merchandiser. I find this current job pretty boring, but do enjoy the driving but would rather be home at night and not on the roads in the winter. Now the money is pretty good but could be better, but it gets the bills paid for now. I usually drive just over 5,000 kms a month( just over 3,100miles for the yanks) ( to some that may not be alot )
I have a few things that I may try and get into that interest me.
1) get an epprenticeship to be an electrician ( takes 9,000 hours) and go back to school a few times during that time( and get paid during the process).
2) get an epprenticeship as a mechanic ( also takes 9,000 hours) and go back to school a few times during that time( and get paid during the process).
3) try and get into a consulting company for software and probably have to go b ack to school before I get hired ( but not get paid while in school).
I guess I don't find the current job much of a challenge and a few people ( Fiancee, family including myself) would rather me not be on the road driving everyday.
THere are other things that interest me as in working with heavy duty equipment. I was mostly looking for jobs that pay not bad and that interested me.
Any idea what I should do??? spending all that time driving I get to do alot of thinking and am getting tired of thinking about it.
any thoughts will help
Tanks alot
