Default My weekend.

Since we seem to have nothing to do tonight... https://www.gmforum.com/lounge-99/i-need-73-posts-288639/ lol

I figured I would share some details from my weekend.

Started off with a visit to my Bonneville. Snapped some pictures while I was there.

I also swapped out my MSD coils for stockers, and once again it is running like a dream. I'm done with MSD coils at this point, second set to go bad.. Not a misfire or % of KR to be seen on my 0-110 run with the stockers. Although with that sub beating, your lucky if you can see anything at all. One wonderful thing about the box design is that from the box back, there is no vibration or pressure. I don't even have screws in the bottom of my license plate in the back, and while the mirror and anything else that could move, did move, the trunk doesn't so much as budge.

After I got the bonneville snugged back into the garage, I picked up a friends truck that I was putting some tool box lights in for. Got it over to my other friends shop that I use, and found there was a bit of a problem. All 5 bays were full with something in the bay and something behind it except for one which only had this.

So I call him up and he says "That trucks hasn't been tore apart yet, just go ahead and move it out". You may not be able to tell in the picture, but this thing is a monster. By far the biggest vehicle I have ever driven, and probably ever will drive. Managed to maneuver it out here.

So once that was out of the way I got to work on the truck. Everything turned out great in my opinion, they are bright little things. Don't mind the wire hanging down on the left, I had to go get one of the zip ties with the screw holes and got that fixed.

Then it was off to pick up another friend who was going to keep me company while I finished off the Jeep I'll be driving for the next month till the bonneville is done. While shooting the chit waiting for him to get off of work, he filled me in on a robbery that just took place, or what he knew about it. White silverado was stolen from a local bar at gunpoint, rammed a car, and then a police cruiser that tried to cut him off. Took off towards the other side of town with a line of police on his tail. Wound up jumping a ditch into a sign for the local car wash, we are talking a BIG sign here, I'd say 3 stories tall with a nice thick base. It is now laying on the ground with pieces everywhere and that side of town was without power for a while. Decided to drive by and check out the damage, the truck was... done. Wish I would have taken pictures, but there was a line of police stretching about two blocks.

Took the jeep back to the shop and tightened up the serpentine belt, it was squeaking from the last time I had it in the shop. Must not have tightened it down enough, or the belt stretched a bit. This has one of the tensioners that has a bolt that moves the pulley closer or farther away, and then another bolt to lock the pulley in place. Also replaced the blown factory door speakers with 5 1/4 Alpine * types, and put an Alpine amp in, giving them a good 50 watts a piece. That sounds much better... but doesn't even get close to the bonneville. At this point it was around 3 in the morning, decided to call it quits and head to bed.

Sunday was my normal routine of sleeping in late, waking up and heading out to visit family, then got to drive home in some pretty nasty snow. It was hard enough to see in the snow as it was, but the stupid jeep headlights collected the snow which then froze over and effectively blocked out the headlights. Makes me miss the bonneville.
