So I looked at another Bonneville today...
As I wrote on the general chat forum, we are parting with the 96. Sad, but its time. Anyways...
Went to a somewhat local dealer to look at an 04 SE. Beautiful car. Gold taupe, tan interior. Everything that the 96 has except the moon roof and HUD. they wanted $11,900 for an 04 with 36K miles. I even had the wifey convinced to get another Bonnie. Too good to be true? Yup. Pulled the engine cover off the 3800 and guess what I saw pooled up on the top of the manifold? Yes, that'* right...a nice coolant/oil cocktail wicking up from the bolt. I left very upset. I refuse to buy a mechanically defective car, even if it comes with a warranty AND I know how to fix it. Very depressing.
