I live in 3800 HELL
I live in New York City AKA 3800 hell. Why you ask? It takes 2 tranny shops and 3 weeks to locate one valve body for a 4T60E-HD transmission. Its in North carolina. and I have to wait till it arrives. Even though the 3800 is a popular engine in New york Nobody knows their *** from their elbow when it comes to my engine or transmission. I have had it I"m moving .
Well at least I spent $1700 on a tranmission rebuild :( .

After looking at that link, that body wouldn't work for you anyways. That came from a tranny with a structural side pan. And after another look, it'* still a sweet deal. It has more than the valve body...like the oil pump, solenoids, and channel plate (that'* the giveaway from it comming from a tranny with a cast sidepan).
EDIT: Doesn't matter if the tranny is HD or not. Valve bodies are the same between the two models IIRC.
