Had a bad fan clutch in a old blazer I owned, one day I was driving along with a friend and we heard a loud clunk....happen to looked back and my fan was sitting in the middle of the road spinning.

That happened on my dads F-150 with a 351W. It was not while dumping the clutch cause it was a automatic it broke the shaft, but it didn't take out the shroud. Good one. Looks like it'* time for a high flow pump and an aluminum radiator while your in there.
