Default 65 Acadian 'Pure Evil'

My shop is cozy with natural gas heat, mini fridge and radio

I removed the rad and cleaned up the fire wall some.

Always need lots of storage for crap
IMG_2249.jpg

I have it up on jack stands and have been wire brushing the loose paint and minor surface rust off.

IMG_2251.jpg

I made up templates for both the fire wall and inner fenders, will have to wait for the final engine install before I have them made.
IMG_2252.jpg

Long shot of my digs
IMG_2253.jpg

Upgrading to a 10 point roll cage with swing out doors, I re did all of the gauges and added a fuse panel. The guy before me had NO fuses. Having the seat out makes it easy for ol fat azz to get around :P
IMG_2254.jpg

Low and long, wierd rag top look too?
IMG_2256.jpg

I'm adding disk brakes to the front in the new year.....need a master cylinder too.
IMG_2258.jpg

Rare 1st wcbf sticker on my beer fridge

More shop shots.

There'* still lots to do before next season least of which is the motor. I still dont have one and have decided not to rebuild the 454 block I have as it will take more than its worth at this time (cast crank, pistons, 2 bolt main...yeuch). So I'm on the hunt for a big block while I await disk brakes and new rubber for the doors. I have all the paint to finnish the frame but wanted the master cylinder and brake conversion in first.

Thanks guys it sure is fun.
No immediate plans for Bone Evil this winter, it is in storage untill spring.
I might pull the head unit and replace the lights in it, or I might get a new head unit in the spring?

Except for the engine itself, parts for the ol Acadian are easy to come by and inexpensive.
A complete disc brake conversion with discs, calipers, brackets, brake lines and master cylinder only come to $350, $650 with tubular 'A arms.
Door seals were $85

Awesome, good thing you're dump the front drums, that'll get rid of a lot of weight and improve the stopping power as well...

How about a blown 502? Or a n/a 632 Poncho?
