Default Norton 2K5 and adware

I have Norton 2K5 and when it has found an adware virus but couldn't do anything. I tried running it in safe mode.. it won't find it then. I looked at the link it was attatched to. and it doesn't show up. When I go to Norton'* website bout the virus and they say go here and there to remove it from the reg. key. Its not there either.. it'* a DLL file, I will get the info when I get home. But I wanted to know wat I should do to remove it short of reformating and or re-installing windows XP

Need more info to know for sure, but it sounds a lot like the one that I got ahold of. DSO Exploit

Try doing a Google search for the file name. Also, check out Spybot *&D.
